Mountain View Public Library is a consistently great place to spend time. I’ve come here often, and it’s always quiet, well-maintained, and comfortable. There’s plenty of seating, good lighting, and a calm atmosphere that makes it perfect for reading, studying, or getting work done. The staff is helpful, and the space feels welcoming every time. Easily one of my favorite places to work/study.
Been here a few times building my monopoly (startup/companies) | peaceful environment , was able to make out with unique and valuable proprietary intellectual properties that others are possessing around Silicon Valley, I a particularly savvy to energy as a Pisces so I find it difficult to get good work done when the energy of the environment is faulty. Good work = good energy so 5 stars. Of course some fine selection of novels and literature. Eat until your hearts content but don’t feasts too much for fear of overheating 🥵
I had the pleasure of holding a Fabric Flower Workshop with my wonderful collaborator, Gigi, at the library. We truly enjoyed sharing our love for art and sustainability through this community art workshop. The library is also a wonderful place with amazing resources you can explore — including a book and magazine free section, printing services, digital tools, and much more. The staff were also nice and caring.
They don't make it easy for you to donate books - you'll have to make a reservation ahead of time otherwise you'll have to take your books back. Even worse, they will not allow you to leave your two big boxes of books on the ground in the library, so you have to carry them back to your car then make a second trip if you need to borrow anything. I with they had more empathy.
My bay area library reviews continue... I lived in Mountain View years ago and when I visit downtown Castro, sometimes I go by the library out of nostalgia, and because to me it's one of the most beautiful libraries especially with the lovely park outside, close proximity to the Caltrain and the lively downtown of variety shops and food spots to discover. I used to babysit and bring the kiddos here in the afternoons, the children's and teens sections are awesome and have great selection and activities. The second floor is bright and spacious with a lot of selections as well, computers, meeting rooms, tables. The only thing is cell service isn't the best, but I guess you can connect to the Wi-Fi to help with that. I also prefer to quietly do things on my own without any staff assistance or
