I had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Killington. The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing after a long day. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything we needed was provided. The location was excellent, especially if you want to enjoy the outdoors. It’s close to Killington Resort, which made it very convenient for skiing and other winter activities. The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful, with stunning mountain views. The host was very kind and responsive, making sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. I truly felt at home here and would definitely love to come back again in the future.
My husband and I stayed here in mid October. Reviews on this site made me a little apprehensive, so I’m pleased to say that we didn’t suffer as others seem to have done. Mike and Barbara made us welcome in what is their home. We shared the bathroom with the other couples and did not find it a problem at all. Our room with a view was a good size with space to unpack and be comfortable. Yes, some if the furniture could be described as outdated, but that is part of its charm. The room and bathroom were clean. Mike was interested in making sure we made the best of our visit and had routes planned and printed to ensure we could take in the sights. He is clearly very passionate about his country, but we enjoyed talking with him. Surely a holiday is a time when we learn about different plac
We had a cozy, quaint stay here. The property is very quiet, with the sounds of birds and no people. We never heard the other guests in the next room or saw anyone else in the shared bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and it was enjoyable talking to the hosts, who have lived there over 20 years, and can tell you about the property, surrounding area, and Vermont recommendations. Definitely check out the Thundering Brooks Falls trail just 2 min down the road. You could walk there and hike the trail to the falls or drive. It’s so peaceful and part of the AT. Close proximity to Killington without being in the busy, overpriced resort zone.
The area outside the house was extremely icy and felt unsafe — I almost slipped a few times. It seemed like there was no maintenance at all, with no salt or other treatment applied. The room itself was very small and didn’t have a table, which made it very inconvenient.
We had a delightful stay at Mike and Barbara’s B&B. Gorgeous view from our bed. The house is charming and comfortable. Especially our bed! Breakfast was delicious and different each morning. Mike is a great conversationalist and directed us to McGrath’s Irish Pub for a perfect Irish stew and Guiness. The property is beautiful and leads off to trails and the nearby waterfall. We will be back.
