Mountain Retreat The Escapes

Enjoyed this stay so much over the Christmas - New Year's break that we are going back this weekend! Great house and love that there are three full bathrooms, makes it easy for families/couples to stay without feeling on top of each other! Other reviews have noted difficulty with the garbage - we were able to locate the dumpster without difficulty and had nothing but pleasant interactions with Aleksander! Would recommend, Aleksander is also very responsive if there is a problem.

Stayed here through airbnb this past weekend. The stay was nice. Before check out, we followed all directions except we left our trash in the hallway since we were unable to locate the dumpster. Once the host rated us positively and we rated him positively on Airbnb, he requested us pay $550 for cleaning and sent us pictures of a mess that was absolutely not ours. He conveniently waited until the reviews were complete because it now cannot be updated. Do NOT rent this house or any other houses from Aleksandar! Something very sketchy is happening here and we’re still trying to work with Airbnb in order to not be out $550 dollars.

My group was falsely accused of leaving a mess this weekend. The host even submitted pictures of things that were not ours. The only things we left behind were some neatly grouped trash bags by the door, because the host was unclear that the dumpster was a mile down the road. They are attempting to fine us $550. This is simply just foul.

Such a nice getaway. A home away from home. I love how snowshoe resort is about 15mins away for the winter and many trails near by for the summer. My family and I love it there. The gym for my husband and I and we enjoyed the farm near by where we had a great horseback riding experience.

The place is beautiful. Nothing but relaxation. Also has a workout room.
