Mountain Laurel Inn

This was our first night on the road and a great start to a week-long getaway. We were traveling to Niagara Falls from Virginia. This was a great place to stop for the night. GPS took us straight to the B&B, it was on the side of the mountain just outside of the downtown area. We were greeted by Bob and Carolyn, the inn keeper and his wife. We were welcome into their home, and felt very comfortable. They took the time to show us every thing about their home, and waited patiently for us to fill out our breakfast choices. As with most B&B's there were a lot of rules that were discussed, nothing over the top. Cozy B&B in Northwestern PA. Chase the owner's dog will gladly greet you and hate to see you go. Every room is charming and decorated with a colonial style. Several have electric fireplaces. Coffee, tea and snacks are always available. Breakfast is amazing. Quaint but busy downtown area, not far from a casino.

Being from Bradford and living here most of my life, I had never had the opportunity to visit The Mountain Laurel Inn. We booked a night at the inn following our wedding and we certainly did not regret it. The whole team was excellent and made us feel so special. Our room was decorated when we arrived and we had an excellent breakfast the next morning. The home is beautiful and I was glad to have the occasion to go inside and visit. Highly recommend! This was one the best Bed & Breakfast we've ever stayed in. As soon as we arrived Bob & Carolyn were very friendly showing us around the house and giving information about local attractions. In the evening they have wine for the guests which we enjoyed on the beautiful front porch. Our room #5 was large and very comfortable. You have your choice of what you'd like for breakfast and it was delicious. We were very pleased with our stay and if we ever get back to the area this is definitely where we'll stay.

This is an interesting place. Bradford is a rather run-down town and on the whole seemed rather shabby, but is a convenient starting point for exploring the beautiful Allegheny National Forest. The B&B is located on a fairly, but not overly, busy street and is a well restored, large old home. Each room is uniquely and tastefully decorated as are the public areas such as the lounge and dining room. There is no central a/c but the bedrooms have window a/c units and ours certainly kept the room cool when the weather was rather warm - however the unit was a little noisy while running (perhaps this is normal, I don't know). Our hosts were very friendly and informative and breakfast was delicious too, served in the superb dining room. Overall our stay was both comfortable and relaxing.
