Awesome modern Taphouse in St John’s with incredible food. Great beer selection- 24+ taps I believe. Something for everyone. Went here on a recommendation from a friend- he said the food was great. He wasn’t wrong! We tried a chicken skewer dish, pork belly rib dish, and the fish sauce wings with the heat level 2. All 3 were epic. Definitely will be coming back to try more. Not sure what my favorite was - they were all great. Super friendly staff. Great space to hang out. Nice outdoor seating as well. They also have a few fridges with lots of beer you can buy to go or drink there. They even have Pliny!!!!
I was working at the college and stopped here with a few co-workers for lunch. I had the pork ribs, which were very good. We sat at a high top table inside. I had the tap water to drink. I like when they provide a water tap where you can refill your water. There is outdoor seating as well. Some brought in a cute dog while we were eating, so assume it is dag friendly, but I would double check
Friendly service, unreal food. My wife needs to eat gluten free and we have been waiting to try this place since they opened. Totally blown away by the food. Pork skewers and green beans were unbelievably good. The fish sauce chicken wings were crunchy and delicious. The one pepper spiciness was pretttttty hot for two people who like to sweat with their food. Wouldn’t recommend 2 unless you’re ready to cry. Overall such a great time and very affordable. 2 drinks and 3 dishes for about $50 before tip.
Go—right away. The food from Chémgió is *incredible*. I’ve tried 10 dishes and each one stands out in their own way. Very flavor forward. The wings are crispy and delicious, especially the fish sauce wings. The La Lot Wraps are out of the world—we tried vegan. The pork spring rolls are crispy and tasty. All the sauces are exceptional. Everything served hot and fresh. Oh, and the drinks are on point too. A great way to help eat through this menu. Service was great, as always.
My new favorite spot in St. Johns! One of the best tap lists in Portland. Lawrence, a co owner of the bar, was down to nerd out on the beers with me a little and made some great recommendations. The food is also incredible. We had the green beans, the fried shrimp, and the honey glazed chicken skewers. Everything was delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough.
