Morton Mandan Public Library

We recently visited for a passport appointment with my son. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The staff member who assisted us was incredibly rude and displayed a poor attitude throughout the process. It was clear that she was not happy in her role, and her unprofessionalism made the appointment uncomfortable. Based on this experience, I will be looking elsewhere for future services. I hope they address the customer service aspect, as it’s crucial to providing a positive experience.

Every time I come to the Mandan Public Library, I’m delighted by something. There is always something new, something improved, something innovative that they have implemented to make the place better. I travel often and go to libraries in new cities and towns all the time to work remotely or to just enjoy a quiet space to write or read, and this library is honestly one of the best public libraries I’ve been too, without a doubt one of the best in North Dakota. You can tell that there are people behind the scenes that care and make thoughtful decisions about how to make this a better public space for people to be in and it shows. It’s really such a lovely space that I enjoy coming to and will be spending more time in, especially since they’ve lengthened their hours since last fall, it’s not

Awesome library in Mandan with lots of fun activities throughout each month.

This has to be the best small town library I have seen. Good selection of books. Most importantly there are computers available free of charge one hour a day, however time is somewhat available depending on the number of computer users. I was visiting Mandan when I was working on my Masters degree and the free computer access allowed me to keep up with my class. There has always been ample chairs/tables/desks available. There is free WiFi available which helps communication issues. The most impressive aspect is how friendly and helpful the staff is. I would rank the staff as the top library staff I have interacted with in 55 years.

The MMPL is a wonderful place for the whole family. They have an incredibly welcoming environment, a great selection of books, and an amazing children’s section (My kids' favorite area is the puppet stage). Each week, they offer great activities that promote reading and family fun.
