If you are near UCONN, you have to stop by for a bite. It was my first time eating at MOOYAH. The menu was very straightforward and the tablet stations made ordering a breeze. The vibe was pretty cool and the staff was super friendly. But the real star of the show was of course the food. I opted for the Double Diablo and hand cut fries. They tout their fresh beef and fresh baked buns. Let me say, the taste followed up on every promise. Get one of their house favorite burgers or get one custom made. Just make sure you get a burger!
Mooyah? More like Moomidi. This is the most nothingburger restaurant on campus (No pun intended). You could easily find another place to eat, anything but this place would be better. Half the time they appear to be closed. Good milkshakes, mid sweet potato fries, maybe good for students.
The chicken tenders I received look absolutely nothing like what is on the website and pictured online. These were small very low grade Sysco/ Tyson type. The milk shake was pretty good. Friendly fast service brought it up to 3 stars. Just felt deceived by the chicken tenders.
This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. The burger was OK. I had the Best Quesonario burger with double meat. It was better than any fast food burger but nothing to get excited about. The fries were great quality, nicely cooked, and hot, but way, way too much salt on them. I couldn't even finish them because of the salt. I also tried the house made chips and these were really good. Nice crisp, good flavor, light salt. My favorite part of this meal was the green Chile queso. It went well with anything. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 5.7
Today was my first and last time eating at mooyah burger. I thought I'd try a vegan burger with a lettuce bun. As I'm eating my burger, I noticed little green bugs crawling inside my lettuce. My daughter was driving and pulled over to make sure I was not seeing things. And yes, I was correct. There were little green bugs that were identical to the color of the Lettuce crawling. It makes me think they aren't washing the lettuce, which leads me to believe they aren't clean!
