Customer Reviews
The Chicken Kabab over Rice at Moonlight is outstanding. The chicken is grilled perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. The seasoning is spot on, giving every bite a balance of spice and freshness. The rice is fluffy and aromatic, soaking up the flavors beautifully, and the side sauces (especially the garlic sauce) elevate the whole dish. Generous portion, great value, and absolutely satisfying. A must-try if youre looking for good Persian/ Mediterranean food while in Portland
my bf and i go after 10 pm typically on lazy nights. the kufta saj is outstanding and the customer service is too. he is so kind and now knows exactly what we want when we go. i recommend moonlight over every other Mediterranean food around!
Had a craving and walked down to this cart. Got a kofta saj. Added hot sauce because... never say no to the hot sauce when asked. Walked home, am eating now. Delicious. Best food decision I've made recently.
I’ve had middle eastern food in these food carts almost in every major city and I can confidently say this is the worst of all I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t say it’s objectively bad, but it’s just that food carts are often so good that this place doesn’t reach that threshold. We’ve had the chicken over rice; the chicken, which I’m pretty sure, is stale. It doesn’t chew right. The rice is okay. However, the sauces that provide a lot of flavor are kinda bland. Even when I asked for a lot of white sauce, he kinda disregarded it. While I was confirming what exactly comes in the box, he wouldn’t answer and just shrugs off. And most importantly, I’m not sure why it’s $14, when it’s way cheaper in bigger cities like NYC, SFO, and Philly (you can get really good food for like $8-$10). There are sever
Came here late night based of some yelp reviews and wow was it good! Had a lamb gyro which was amazing then we went right back and ordered a kafta gyro which was also juicy and delicious. Hummus was phenomenal as well! We will most definitely be back!
