Monty's BBQ

I love barbecue, so when I found out there was a spot locally. I had to check it out! They make their own sauce, as a matter fact, everything there is homemade! They smoked their own meat and have their own sides that they make from scratch daily, wow. I highly recommend the brisket, the ribs and the mac & cheese. Those were my heavy hitters for sure! The ambience is very quaint and I will definitely be back.

We came down from North Jersey to see if we could see the seals… unfortunately we didn’t but then I had looked at this place before our trip and boy was this the highlight of our little day trip! We ordered the pulled pork, brisket and ribs… they were all SO DELICIOUS! for me it’s the best ribs I have ever had, period… my daughter said she would move to town when she’s older just to be close to this place. The cornbread was delicious too. The Cole slaw had peppers, which for me was ok, but not for my (pepper hater) husband 🤣. The owner was great! Hope we can visit again soon!

We tried a lot of different barbecue restaurants when planning our recent event, and Monty’s is head and tails above the rest! The meat, the sides, even the cornbread are prepared with homestyle care. Everyone who attended our party raved about how great the food was! And Andy was great to work with, always able to provide helpful tips on how to best serve the buffet. I highly recommend Monte’s for your next party or event!

The food was delicious. Melt off the bone good. Slight variations on traditional food. They had a water bubbler as well. The atmosphere is very casual. It was a decent value as well. I will be back for more!

Place is a fast casual joint. You order by the pound and you grab it. We had the ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Brisket and ribs were great! Pulled pork was quite dry though and I wouldn't get that. Otherwise service was good and I would recommend again. Place does have a bathroom but I couldn't get the lock to work though.
