What in the world is this?? This is a "Monterey Hero?" I thought for sure when I opened it up there was a camera somewhere waiting for my reaction but nope... They are serious. This place must be hanging on by a thread. Almost every fridge was empty and staff was overwhelmed by an extremely average amount of customers. Hope they pull themselves out of this tailspin they are in, but they aren't doing themselves any favors with a sandwich like this; wild. Still can't believe someone thought this would be enjoyable.
Nice little deli and food location. This place is small and quite pricey but the food is delicious and well worth the splurge. Their eggplant parmesan is excellent!
This place has dropped off heavily. Would not suggest going back, poor quality for how much it is. Serving hot sandwiches, cold. Honestly it was so bad I would like to be contacted for my money back. I have left a picture of how much I am throwing out….UPDATE, it’s been 5 days and nobody has reached out to me, seems like they really care
Unsure what happened to this place but it was like walking into a ghost town. Shelves empty, limited grab n go, and waited 10 minutes for someone to check me out in a completely empty space. Left regretting even picking up a salad but looks like they need the business…
Sorry to say, this place is definitely not what it used to be, and clearly, that is reflected in multiple previous reviews. The chicken noodle soup is flavorless, and the sloppy joe sandwich had way too much Russian dressing and coleslaw on it to where you could barely enjoy it. The inside of the place looks like they're going out of business, with their shelves half full and dusty. The prices on their wines and spirits are $10 more per bottle than down the street. You won't get sick eating here, but it's not cheap (at all). Bernardsville is a very expensive town. We've had better food from the Bridgewater Diner on Rt. 22. Average/decent quality at best. If they don't change things around, and clean up their acts, they're going to be closing their doors rather sooner than later. Sad.
