Monte De Rey Kernersville

We just had a wonderful lunch on the patio at Monte De Rey in Kernersville. Fermin was so nice and attentive. He asked if I wanted a jumbo margarita and I asked how big it was. He held his hands out to the size of a fish bowl! I went with the medium. The picture proves the size is what most places call a jumbo but their “medium” was only $10.99, it was very good and had a nice kick. The guacamole dip was only $4.49 and elsewhere, the same size runs $6-7.00. We loved it! We traded bites of the California Burrito, with steak tips. It was huge but they call it the lunch size! It was only $9.49. The Coyote Loco came with a fresh mushroom and cheese quesadilla, really good rice and a cheese enchilada with shredded carnitas on top. Fabulous! First let me start by saying thank you to the staff and owner for keeping such a clean and inviting environment. Table clean! Seat clean! The ledge that’s beside your head in the booth clean! Also the floor clean! Clean in a restaurant is very hard to come by these days. The server was very helpful I ask what she would recommend and see rattled off let 6 things which ment I was in for a treat! The food came out quick everything was delicious. I always try the meat by its self before going all in and each one was well seasoned and cooked as it should be with those little crispy bits that compact the flavor more! A must try. Definitely a repeat eat!

I spent my lunch here, and my server Jessica was outstanding. She was very attentive and recommended me the chimichanga lunch special, she made sure I received my order exactly how I'd like it, with shredded beef. When I go again I'll definitely recommend her for she is a sweet, hard working young Women.

Monte De Rey in Kernersville NC is truly something special. The food is so fresh and comes out incredibly fast and the flavor instantly takes me back to Guadalajara. The authenticity of the taste is unreal and every dish feels like a real home cooked Mexican meal.
