Montclair Public Library

The Montclair Public Library is a great reason to consider relocating to this lovely village! The library is probably one of Oakland’s best kept secrets! Even their bathrooms were lovely!

It’s genuinely sad to see so many empty shelves here. The space feels hollow without books, and it’s hard not to wonder why there isn’t more support from the community or local businesses. I truly hope management can find a way to replenish the collection—this library deserves better.

My oldest daughter has a huge love for books and was extremely happy to start the summer program...Unfortunately, based on the expressions on the faces of the staff my 2 Year old wasn't so welcomed. I understand a library is not a playground and I was clearly trying my very best to calm her but also let my oldest enjoy what she really loves. Beautiful library, well kept but it's unfortunate that the staff seemed less than accepting of a very young child. For that reason we will stick with other Branches for our book.

On the smaller side of san bernardino county libraries. Good luck finding parking in any of the lots nearby (the lots arent just for the library either, they are for the youth center, civic center, city hall, and the senior center. Yikes.) The bathrooms are locked down. You need a library card or ID to leave at the front desk just to use them... so that's unfortunate, and there's only 1 bathroom per gender, 1 person in the bathroom at a time is the rule. There are maybe 2 power outlets to charge or plugin to. One by the bathroom hallway, and another on the wall near the two study tables (which maybe sit 8 people total, and they're close together). There's also 4 chairs and 2 semi-private study rooms that may also have power outlets. There is no eating in here either *womp womp womp*.

This Library is borderline Montclair /Ontario . My childern enjoy the activities but the staff is ok
