Mom's Apple Pie at Hill High

Amazing beer selection at this shop. The gentleman who runs the beer/wine area is very knowledgeable and helpful with information and suggestions. I see stuff here that I don't see anywhere else in the DMV area. Picked up Grisette Citra (blend 4) from Barrique Brewing & Blending, and it is very good.

I build furniture and cabinetry, and the last few weeks we installed cabinetry near Round Hill, Virginia. We tried a few places in the area for lunch, and then visited this place for a sandwich. The food was so good, we abandoned all the other spots and ate here for the next five days. My only issue, as it was cold outside, is that there is no place to eat inside these days. Perhaps bring a few tables back for this purpose. Favorite sandwich: turkey, havarti, pickles, on sourdough bread.

They specialize in superb pies, pastries and other baked goods, baked right there! They also have an excellent deli. A colossal selection of beers (foreign and domestic) and wines occupies a huge and fascinating display area. It's (October November), Peach season and the locally famous Virginia & West Virginia Peaches are used to achieve the best Peach pies (if the have not already sold out).

Absolutely delightful! I stopped by Mom's Apple Pie at Hill High and was blown away by the apple pie — I should’ve bought more! It was perfectly baked, full of flavor, and felt like a warm hug in every bite. The lady who helped me was wonderful — kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what she does. You can tell when people put love into their work, and this place radiates it. A hidden gem I’ll definitely return to!

This pie shop has amazing products and a cozy, welcoming vibe. I tried the pecan pie, and it was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve ever had! However, I was surprised to find they don’t have restrooms for customers, which is inconvenient for those of us who travel a bit to get there.
