I’ve been to this place a couple of times now and have really enjoyed it each time. The food here is incredibly flavorful and tastes very authentic. Everything we tried had a great balance of spices, and you can tell it’s made fresh with care. The jhol momos, buff chowmein, buff chilli, khasi ko bhuttan, buff sekuwa, and choila set were absolutely to die for especially the jhol momos. The jhol is so delicious and it really reminded me of Nepal. The flavors truly felt like home. The tea was also excellent and paired perfectly with the food. The hospitality here is amazing. The owner and the team are very friendly and welcoming, and they even offered us complimentary soda waters and pani puri, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It’s also very kid-friendly. Came here on a Saturday afternoon after walking all around Golden Gate Park and was starving. Got the vegan spicy and sweet momos. They were pretty pricey for the portion size. The momos themselves were decent. The onions were barely cooked and had a strong raw flavor. The sauce was supposed to be spicy and sweet, but I didn’t get any sweetness at all. Mostly just heat.

Momolicious is one of the best places to enjoy authentic Nepalese food. The flavors are rich, fresh, and truly remind you of home. Their momos are a must-try — perfectly seasoned and delicious. The ambience is warm, cozy, and welcoming, making it a great spot to dine with family and friends. Highly recommended for anyone craving quality Nepalese cuisine.

Momolicious is a nice spot to enjoy Nepali food with a pleasant atmosphere and good flavors. However, I’m giving 3 stars because the portion sizes were quite small—only 8 pieces of Mo:Mo, and the jhol (sauce) was very limited. The same goes for the Bhutan (khasi); tasty, but not enough quantity. Hope they improve on serving sizes!

Must-Try Newari Food in El Cerrito! My wife and I recently tried Momolicious, a Newari food truck in El Cerrito, and we were blown away! We started with the Nepali-style Chicken Jhol Momo hands down one of the best we’ve had in the Bay Area. The Momo was flavorful, and wsd perfectly steamed. We also tried their spicy Chatpatte.super fresh and packed with flavor and the Pani Puri with mint and tamarind water, which hit all the right spots. One of the highlights was the Newari Chatamari and Chicken Choyila set that took us straight back to Nepal. We saw they had Khasi ko Bhutan on the menu too, and it looked amazing! Definitely trying that next time.
