El Cerrito Library - Contra Costa County Library

I love our little El Cerrito Library! Truly wonderful staff, always ready to help…. It is so cheerful, welcoming and decorated with informative displays and seasonal flair. The Contra Costa system of ordering books throughout and delivered here is a great service. The location is perfect and the Friends of the Library is great as well. A gem of a library!

3 out of 4 librarians were passive aggressive and then increasingly catty about the fact our child was using the children's activity area. The other one was great but sadly she wasn't in charge. If you are a sullen septuagenarian - this is the pace for you. Go to Albany or Berkeley if you have kids.

Such a nice and intimate library with a wonderful area for kids. The staff is very nice and friendly. They offer story time and different activities for children including ABC mouse.

I've recently rediscovered the joys of going to the library and in particular, the joy of going to the El Cerrito Library! The people who work there could not possibly be any nicer or more helpful! It's clear that they love working with people and they do everything they can to make your library experience the absolute best. I cannot overstate the positive experience I've had each and every time visited. And just now, on the phone I was reminded once again of how nice they are when I called to get some information. Kudos to the wonderful staff at the El Cerrito Library
