Modern American Diner

My wife found this wonderful eatery by luck. As we got nearer to Modern American Diner, I became aware of expectations that were thankfully soon to be proven wrong. Diner is kind of a loaded term and really the only parts of it that apply in this case are a solid but simple menu of food with a wide appeal, a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, good value and quick service. The owner, Allen, took the time to sit with us and explain a couple of menu items as well as to just have a wonderful conversation. My wife does not eat meat, upon learning this Allen offered to make any dish as she wanted it, which he also extended to me. The food was absolutely delicious and this was the best meal we had during our stay in Las Vegas. We ordered a dessert just to extend our enjoyment here. Allen also own

Awesome place for breakfast and lunch, keeps the diner vibe while not being tacky or retro. More importantly, the food was excellent, with the Croque Monsieur especially making you forget everything you knew about grilled ham & cheese. Both our chef & the business owner Allen were very welcoming and made our visit great. It's a shame they're located in such a seemingly inaccessible place but it's actually very easy to get in and I'd definitely recommend you stop by.

Ordered online and pick up was estimated 30 minutes. Arrived early 20 minutes but the order wasn’t started as they were out of rye bread for a Ruben. Nobody was in the restaurant except the cook and one customer drinking coffee. The cook offered different bread sourdough and I was fine with it. I got my order and left. The sandwich was okay but the both bread was soaked in butter or sauce.

Great diner with friendly staff and clean and modern atmosphere. Went 2 days in a row. Breakfast burrito was delicious - I subbed with bacon and it was fantastic. Eggs Benedict had a great hollandaise sauce. Friendly owner / waiter who remembered our preferences from the day before. Would highly recommend for a great diner-style breakfast!

The biggest secret in So Highlands! We heard about this place word of mouth, showed up Saturday for breakfast next level food. We will be making this our new place for sure.
