Moby Dick’s Oyster Bar & Grill

I’ve been a regular here since Day 1 and I can’t believe I didn’t post a review until NOW!! What can I say, it’s the best seafood in West Haven HANDS DOWN! The oysters are fresh, the lobster rolls are the best, and the mussels for 2 is so flavorful. The staff are like family and welcome you with open arms. For drinks, I recommend the manhattans, old fashioned, espresso martinis and dirty martini with the blue cheese stuffed olives (YUM!). Their Moby’s lager is delicious and there’s a great selection of tequila. The bartenders are the best around! My favorite dishes are the lobster Mac, Lobster Rolls, Tuna Sushimi Oysters, Oysters Rockefeller, and tuna tartare. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with your dining experience! Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, and so is the staff. Every time I've been here, the head chef (I’m assuming the owner?) has come out to make sure we are all satisfied. For my birthday they gave me a free desert and the chef brought it out, it was crème brûlée cheesecake and it was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! I’ve tried most of the menu and everything is great. I hope they expand soon, they deserve it!!!

Had a great early dinner here. It was our first time and after seeing all the positive reviews and great pictures, I was not disappointed by the food that we got. Appetizers and entrees were delicious, my wife really enjoyed her manhattan, our waitress was very pleasant. Please note though that seating / space inside this place is very limited- it's essentially a bar with about six high top tables in addition. That being said there's also outdoor seating and the atmosphere was very lively and fun.

I came here for my Birthday in July with my Husband…Food, service, and special greeting from the Owner was amazing. My Husband has never eaten raw oysters and decided to give them a try. Now he’s hooked!!! I come down Campbell Avenue to get my nails done every 2 weeks and I have to talk myself into NOT stopping. I’m planning on making my way back soon.
