Place has been around a long time and had some of the best service and food around. Only place for subs. And good prices.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch while I was in the area. Heard good things about the cheesesteak, so I had to give it a try. It was a decent size sandwich and you could tell the steak was fresh. Being from Jersey, the first thing that jumped out to me after one bite was the bread. It was extremely soft, which is something I’m not used to. Don’t get me wrong—I liked it—just wasn’t expecting it. The sandwich itself was good, but not great. Could’ve used a little more seasoning and cheese. However, I can’t wait to go back to try some of the other great items on the menu just so I can shoot the breeze with the owner. Real salt of the earth person with the gift of gab. It’s worth a visit just to hear the stories he has to tell.

I lived in this area in 2009 and discovered this little gem. I moved back to my home state of Michigan in 2010 but still have my whole family in West Haven, so I still come to town every 3-4 years to visit, and when I do? You best believe i am making a pit stop in here for a pastrami sub. 😋 This is 100% the best deli i have ever been to. The man and woman running it are the sweetest people, they always remember us when I mention we are from Michigan, and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. The steak subs? Delicious. The Italian combo? Large and full of flavor and toppings. However, the pastrami will always have my heart. No where even back in Michigan compares. 100/10. Go support this business. You and your taste buds won't regret it.

Excellent, authentic Italian deli with delicious sandwiches made a couple of folks who clearly care about serving you a great meal. Bonus: not one but 2 vegetarian options (eggplant parm and eggplant and broccoli raab), bit of which are great. The eggplant is thinly sliced and perfectly fried, not too oily. The broccoli raab sandwich is just amazing.

I flew into CT to meet a coworker on a job. Once I landed it was lunchtime so I told him to pick it as he was driving. We decided to find something near our store we were working at that evening and he picked a deli. I brought up "deli nearby" and this place popped up with 5 stars. No offence to all of the many 4.5 & 4.0 star places that also popped up but had to go with this one. Coworker and I both got the Italian combo with everything. I got tri-color pasta salad, he got the macaroni salad. Absolutely delicious.
