MJ's Fish and Chicken Express

The whole catfish was deep fried to perfection and the greens & cornbread, and macaroni & cheese were phenomenal. Great service all around.

Very clean. Excellent food freshly made. The owner is a giant black dude who is the nicest guy you'll meet. They have fresh fried fish and the chicken is absolute food for the soul. Give it a chance. 👍

MJ's Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. My family had shrimp, Catfish, and wings, the meet was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. The owners was hospitable, and the staff anticipated, and attended to every need. We highly recommend MJs. We'll be back the next time we're in town.

12/5/2025 I had the Walleye lunch. Which is 5 pieces of fish and bread. Cole slaw you had to buy separately. The fish was not done and the portion size was smaller than a pen. The Cole slaw smelled awful and looked old. The other two orders we had was the same way. I had to trash it in fear that I would get food poisoning. No I didn't return the food because the rest of the order was bad and fearful of getting the same thing again. MJ's has really fallen off. I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here.

Our employees at the Curran Gardner Water District enjoyed the food and service. We will definitely use them again. Miss Margaret was so sweet and kind to handle details!
