Mistral

We decided on a night out and found this spot on OpenTable. Based on the reviews, we had high hopes, and it did not disappoint! Daniel, our server, was amazing, very attentive and 'Johnny-on-the-spot.' We really appreciated his service, and honestly, all of the employees were great. The ambiance and food were excellent. I also had the best Old Fashioned of the year so far. Highly recommend!

I have been living in Sherman Oaks for 6 years and never been to Mistral. Me and my daughter finally made it last night. What a treat. Incredible food, Daniel and Alejandro provided best customer service experience - rare these days. So happy that this is my neighborhood restaurant. This will become a frequent spot for me. Highly recommend!

Mistral’s is a rarity - the food was one of the best restaurant meals I have had in Los Angeles. The service was 5 star in every way. And the venue, with new owners is as beautiful and classy as you can get. I felt as if I was in Paris. There was not any fault in any way - pure perfection. For fans of the old Pinot Bistro, this fills that hole and takes it to a new level.

So so sad about this place. We LOVED it so much but the Valentine’s Day fixed menu was not good. The food was no good and normally this restaurant is our favorite for the food. I had to send my man dish back because the branzino was so terrible. We had booked Mistral for Valentine’s Day because online it showed they were doing regular menus for the holiday, but we were surprised by the fixed menu when we got there so we had no choice but to stay. Not sure what happened but this was one of our favorite restaurants, it seems maybe the chef was different tonight or perhaps they are trying something new. We heard several couples next to us also complaining about the menu and the food. We did hear that they are under new ownership. I still want this to be one of my favorite spots so please go b

The service is so great here! The waiters are always quick to top off your drink & check in often. The food is pretty good, however, nothing that totally “wows” me.
