Simply one of the best breakfast experiences we’ve had in a long time. Personal, family-like, friendly atmosphere. Amazing home cooked food. We loved everything we had including the omelette and especially the bacon. It’s a must-have! Most of our breakfast didn’t last long enough to be photographed! :-) And the longtime family history is evident by their love of what they do! If you’re nearby stop in. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll leave in a more joyful mood than when you came in!

If you’re looking for authentic, fresh-cooked food, this is the spot. The ham was thick, bone-in, and packed with flavor. The scratch-made biscuits were the perfect accompaniment. You can tell they cook everything to order because the food arrives blazing hot. Highly recommended!

I love this black-owned restaurant in Cedar Hill. They have many items that you can choose from. I had the country delight, but biscuits and gravy is one of my favorite meals. They also have sausage biscuits and gravy which are good too. The environment is really chill and Crystal and Shay are so nice! They will take care of you! Overall, the food is great. My visit to Mister James was more than I could have hoped for. The service was excellent. The people themselves were lovely and the location was easy to access. The food was wonderful. The biscuit and gravy with sauce was 10/10. Can’t recommend this location enough!
