Mist Village (Balkan Street Food)

Amazing food and service. So excited to have a place this good nearby. Everything we had was excellent, and fresh. The quality of the bread elevates the perfectly cooked meat. The complete flatbread, and little Balkan platter were great! We can’t wait to try more of the menu!

So this year I ended up eating out for Orthodox Christmas since I couldn’t be with family members for the day. I’m so glad I found this place. I ended up eating the small Balkan platter and I picked up a 10 piece cevap “little Serbian grilling sausages” dinner to bring home to my mom since she was under the weather. The food was absolutely delicious Five out of five stars and the staff was very friendly to me. My parents came from the former Yugoslavia so I grew up around this food. It’s nice to have a restaurant like this in Northwest Indiana that’s more affordable and close by instead of driving all the way up to Chicago. As a first gen American Serb I highly recommend this place. 5/5 stars 🌟

Finally having a Balkan option on Door Dash is so amazing. The cevapi were perfect, the lepinja was super fresh and delicious, and the byrek tasted EXACTLY like the ones I've had in Albania. The cheese inside of the byrek was so rich and flavorful, it tasted like an imported cheese. I was a bit skeptical about the pricing at first but I would absolutely order again because the food is VERY filling, and it ended up being 3 separate meals. Highly recommend this place if you've been to the Balkans or want to try authentic Balkan cuisine.
