MISSION BBQ

I was recommended Mission BBQ ehile working in Evansville several years ago. I like BBQ so I tried it out. I believe on that visit the black plate special was a blackened ribeye, and since I was doing Keto, that was the obvious choice for lunch. I've been hoping to encounter that ribeye again, not sure if it's seasonal. Mission BBQ has become my default stop in Evansville almost to a fault of not trying out other places in the area. On my recent visit I shared a single meat and side and the portion was enough for both of us. The interesting drink selection and sauce selections are very fun too. This place never disappoints and every option on the menu is a good one. What surprised me the most was the service. From order time to service was under 10 minutes everytime I've gone. Plus the food is outstanding and we can't wait to go back. Will return and highly recommend....

Usually Mission BBQ is a great experience, but had my first negative experience today. Got food for takeout and 10 minutes later was home to eat it. Sides were great but both meats were room temperature and on top of that the brisket was dry. Since I don’t know how long it sat out, not going to reheat and eat. $23 for basically green beans and mac. Generally this place is great but next time I will be checking if the food is hot before I walk out.

I visited from Texas first time in Evansville The food was amazing, but we caught my attention was how welcoming the host Amber was. She immediately gave me small samples to select my meat. She was very hands-on quick and polite. The food itself was amazing. I got the brisket sandwich and I couldn’t even finish it because they gave me so much meat with the side of collard greens and mac & cheese for about nine dollars. Amber, thank you for your great hospitality. Keep up the great work

The service was good. Employee's were friendly. Restaurant was very clean, and was very relaxing atmosphere. Nice place to go have a relaxing dinner with the family. The only thing I have negative to say about it is. The portions sizes for a to go order are pretty much or less than adequate for the price you pay. $21.00 for a sandwich and 2 sides and a very small drink. Could go to burger king and get a bigger meal. Don't get me wrong the food was excellent. Very thing about the place is 5 star rating. But the portions is the only thing I came away disappointed with.
