Went to Misimi – Hibachi | Asian Fusion | Sushi | Bar and had a really nice experience. The ambience truly gives an Asia-like vibe — very warm and welcoming. It was a bit tricky to find at first since the restaurant is on the second floor, but if you take the left-side drive, you’ll get there easily. Food highlights: Tom Yum Soup: Really good, mild spice level which made it enjoyable. Kani Salad: Absolutely awesome. Crab Rangoon: Yummy and crispy. Shrimp Roll: Wow — very fresh and tasty. Misimi Roll (Tuna & Avocado): Delicious and well balanced. Drunken Noodles: Flavorful and satisfying. Desserts: Yuzu Cheesecake: Light, citrusy, and refreshing. 2-19-26 First time here. We came for Happy Hour. We ordered a salmon/avocado roll, sexy jalapeño, spring rolls, dragon balls, and chicken lettuce wraps. The salmon/avocado roll was tasty. The sexy jalapeno had a slight kick to it, however, it tasted like a green pepper and not a jalapeño. For drinks we ordered mai tai. The drink was tasty. We also ordered a hibachi salmon and shrimp combination to share. It was just OK. I did notice a misspelling on the menu. Our server was friendly, however I would have liked for her to have cleared our empty dishes without me telling her. The Verdict: We will definitely go here again however, we will skip the hibachi and just stick with the apps and drink. The food and overall atmosphere were genuinely enjoyable. Everything we ordered tasted great, and the space itself was comfortable and inviting. Unfortunately, our experience was noticeably dampened by the service. Our waitress seemed intent on rushing us through the meal, subtly but consistently, without ever saying anything outright. It felt like we were being pushed to leave as quickly as possible. For instance, she gave us a to-go box for the food 10 minutes after we had received it, without us ever asking, and then immediately gave us the check without asking if we wanted dessert or anything else. What made this more frustrating was that another party she was serving, who arrived before us, was allowed to stay and dine at a relaxed pace even after we had already finished and left. T

The best place for Sushi, period. Bo and his staff are incredible hosts and the food is always A+. Great selection of specialty sushi rolls. Try the Split Rock Volcano roll. Melts in your mouth its so good. If you dont love Sushi, the hibachi and fusion menus are great too.

I ordered takeout from Misimi (in Shelton CT) about a week ago and stopped in around 7:30 PM. After placing my order, I waited at the bar for nearly an hour without a single update or check-in from staff. When I finally asked about my order, the hostess — who identified herself as the manager — told me that my ticket had never been printed and the kitchen was already closed. (Whoever was working stated herself as the manager on a Friday night.) After waiting all that time, I left with no dinner and no meaningful attempt to correct the mistake. Being offered a free dessert for a future visit did not resolve the fact that my order was completely overlooked and I was left without a meal late in the evening while my fiancé was waiting for me at home.
