Located on busy Teaneck Road in Teaneck, this husband/wife duo, with the husband being Cuban and the wife Puerto Rican, operates the hidden gem that translates from the Spanish meaning “my roots.” The reservation was easily made by Google Assistant for Saturday dinner. Upon arrival at Mis Raices, a bigger location after 3 years for some of us, my partner, our friends, and I got a table by the window immediately inside a cozy island vibe

I am extremely disappointed with the order I received. As soon as I opened the container, there was a very strong and unpleasant odor coming from the meat, and it was immediately clear that it was not fresh. This order was meant to be lunch for my mother and me in celebration of her birthday, and I was honestly embarrassed that this is what was served. This experience completely fell short of any reasonable expectation for food quality and safety. If fresh, good-quality food cannot be provided, it should not be sent out at all. I hope this matter is taken seriously, as situations like this not only ruin special moments but also raise concerns about overall quality control. I am requesting that this issue be addressed promptly and appropriately.

Went there looking for latin food and definitely took the best decision. Loved the food, loved the presentation of the dishes, loved the deserts. I’ll definitely be back.

We stopped off at this wonderful spot for some Puerto Rican food. I ordered the chuletas fritas with arroz con gandules and maduros. The chuletas were off the hook – absolutely finger-licking good! My wife ordered the pastelon de picadillo y platano, which was exceptionally good. My mango shake was a perfect accompaniment to my meal. We finished our meal with great desserts: I had the flan, which was very good, and my wife had the Tres Leche Oreo, an excellent choice! The cafe con leche was the icing on the cake for a truly wonderful night out. We highly recommend this lovely spot. And a special shout-out to our lovely waitress; she was wonderful!
