The Balaban Kebab is an absolute standout and a must-order. It’s a rare Turkish classic: juicy grilled meatballs over toasted bread, finished with rich tomato sauce, melted butter, and creamy yogurt. Unforgettable. The grilled meats are tender, the seafood is fresh, and everything coming off the grill is full of flavor. Even the vegetarian dishes are so good that meat-lovers will happily order them. The salads are fresh, the dips are spot on—creamy hummus, smoky baba ganoush, and perfectly crisp falafel—and the homemade bread alone is worth the visit. Angora is a hidden gem in Teaneck. The atmosphere and the service was very warm and welcoming making it a great spot for date night or evening with friends and family. My wife and I walked in and were accommodated without a reservation. However, I would recommend setting up a reservation in advance to secure your table. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and the portions are perfect. For starters, we ordered hummus, grape leaves, and baba ghanoush. Main: Lamb chops and Sultans delight. Dessert: chocolate drizzled cheesecake. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean food. We will definitely be returning.

The experience truly feels like fine dining from the atmosphere to the presentation and quality of the food. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better every time we visit. New addition to the area, we were excited to try out this restaurant. It has a welcoming atmosphere, clean and well designed interior and excellent service. We tried cold and hot appetizers, balaman kebab and sultan’s delight from entrees. Finished with their künefe, tres leches cake and maras style ice cream. Everything was outstanding. Great place for a date night, gathering or family meal. We’ll definitely be returning

I love Mediterranean food, and Angora Mediterranean Restaurant absolutely delivered. The ambience was warm and inviting, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and well prepared. We went with the mixed grill platter and enjoyed every single item on it. The meats were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly high quality. The platter is generous and easily feeds four people. If you are a meat lover and want to try a little bit of everything, this mixed grill is the way to go. Definitely a place I would come back to.
