Ming’s Chinese Cuisine A friend recommended Ming’s, so we decided to try it—and we’re glad we did. There’s plenty of parking, the place is clean, and the server was very friendly and helpful, recommending their specials. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, chow mein, pepper beef, and a fish lunch meal. The food came out quickly and everything tasted great. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back again!

I haven't been to a Chinese restaurant in years because the last couple of times the places I went to the food was greasy and bland. But the other day a friend of mine ordered some Chinese food from a different place, and it was bad too (we were in Walnut Creek). He kept saying how he should have ordered from Mings and how good it is. So I decided to give it a try tonight and was not disappointed. When I got there, they were packed and people just kept coming in. I placed a takeout order and it was ready pretty quick considering how busy they were. They food was hot and good. I will definitely be going there again in the future. They even had Chinese BBQ spare ribs which I have not had since I was a kid. There was not much meat on the in bones, but they were tasty. Visiting family in the area was referred to Ming’s and did not disappoint. Visited twice. Very good Chinese entrees, lemon shrimp, chicken with walnuts, and a delicious curry dish. Friendly professional service, pleasant dining atmosphere, easy parking. Winner. Recommend. Note: they close between 15:00 - 16:00, before reopening for dinner service.

Sept 21, 2025 - PM - The place is clean, cozy, makes you feel like home. Nice staff. Plenty free parking, safe neighborhood. Food was good with the exception of the onions. I actually like onions but the taste was too strong ( a first in my life) due to the cut in big chunks and not being cooked ( it felt as raw as in a salad) - I had 3 dishes, the bad one was the cashew chicken. At home I still had the taste of onions and some of it remained even after I brushed…Except the onions, the food was great.

We’ve been dining in and ordering takeout from Ming’s for years, and it has truly become one of our go-to spots in Pleasant Hill. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and comforting—clearly made with care. Everything we’ve tried has been great, but our absolute favorite is the chicken chow mein—it’s perfectly cooked, flavorful, and something we order every single time.
