Excellent Bay Area specialty coffee with vegan food menu and enjoyable for anyone! The coffee menu had a handful of creative and tasteful signature drinks along with the classics. While in line I heard someone ask if the drinks were sweet and they kindly said “not St4rbux sweet” which is a green flag for sure to anyone who really knows coffee. They also offered that customer to make their drink less sweet if they were worried. I had my go-to iced americano to see how good their espresso shots taste since I was sure they were doing something right with so many other good reviews and my experience up to that point. What can I say other than WOW? I tried the yogi waffle and the lemon blueberry waffle. Both were spectacular but the lemon blueberry was my favorite. Best vegan waffles in the east bay. Also tried the summer's dream toast (avocado toast with tomatoes and cucumber) and avacado dream toast. The summer's dream toast was delicious. Everything tastes so fresh, I cant believe I hadn't tried ROOTED sooner. There was a bit of a wait because it's a popular place, but there was a great outdoor dining area to sit and relax.

There can be a bit of a wait but the staff's attentiveness and concern about food allergies more than makes up for it. Best vegan breakfast I have had in a LONG time. Easily my go to when I'm in the area :)

No inside seating, ordered coffee n waffles and they are above average, you can feel they are using good quality ingredients.. a lot of locals in this store.. if ur in the area worth to try..

I ordered some kind of avocado to go. When I got home and opened it. It was so cold bread (not even warmed) on top some mashed avocado with scoops of hummus on top. It was awful to look at and the taste old. I threw it away. The coffee was not good either.
