This place is such a hidden gem! First off, it’s a family-owned ice cream shop, and you can really feel the difference—they care about quality more than just making profits. The whole vibe is super friendly and down-to-earth. One thing to keep in mind: they’re cash only, so make sure to bring some with you. If you forget, no worries—they actually let you mail in a check later, which is such a rare and thoughtful touch these days. They’ve also got private parking in the back, which makes life so much easier, and there’s even a restroom for customers. Such a fun ice cream joint! Cash only but if you are really wanting to get some ice cream you can pay later via mail. It feels like these guys really want you to enjoy their ice cream. I tried the Oregon cherry ice cream and it was absolutely delish. Highly recommend.

I visited Mike’s Ice Cream and I loved it. The town of Hood River is very beautiful and this place is perfect if you want a dessert. The ice cream is very good and there are many flavors to choose from and the price is good. There are many tables in the patio to sit and enjoy, and even a treehouse for kids to play. 🛝👦🌲🪾 The workers are very kind and always smiling. I recommend bringing cash because it is easier to pay. 💰

Mike’s Ice Cream has been a Hood River landmark for nearly 30 years. In front of the small shop, there are tables & chairs, benches, and grass to sit on while you eat your treats. Watch the busy Hood River tourist scene go by as you enjoy your cone. Open seasonally from May until about October. The taste was so good sweet and a bit sour!! love ❤️ them all.

1st time here! We were heading back home from Eastern Oregon. Nice sitting area, Ice cream was so so good. 😋
