I had an amazing experience at Midtown Smokehouse! The food was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The brisket was perfectly cooked and literally melted in your mouth — tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. The ribs were just as impressive, fall-off-the-bone delicious. We also had the potato wedges, greens, and cornbread, and everything was seasoned and prepared perfectly. The sides really complemented the meats and made the whole meal feel complete. On top of the great food, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was friendly and efficient. It’s always a bonus when you get amazing quality without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch BBQ!

One of the best BBQ spots in the Metro Detroit. Brisket was cooked to perfection, ribs had an amazing smoke ring, smoked wings were jam packed with flavor. We carried out and food was still a great temp by the time we ate. Sides were solid, but the brisket and ribs stole the show!

Midtown Smokehouse in Southfield exceeded my expectations with its incredible smoked wings, ribs, and brisket. As someone from Louisiana who travels extensively and has tasted barbecue in Texas, Memphis, and Kansas City, I can confidently say the food here stands up to the best. I also enjoyed the mac and cheese and greens. While the coleslaw wasn't the sweet style I'm used to, it was still tasty. Beyond the delicious food, the owner (Mark) and staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a genuine desire to please customers, which was second to none. I will make Midtown Smokehouse my first stop for a meal every time I return to Southfield. My new champion of BBQ in Metro Detroit—brisket and ribs rival some of the best I’ve had in places like Kansas City. Brisket was tender and juicy and ribs were tender and flavorful. My son normally passes on ribs but even he couldn’t resist these ones. While I normally only really care about the meat at a BBQ place and am usually less swayed by sides and other items, I really liked the flavor and consistency of the baked beans—just the right notes of sweetness and spice. Carrot cake was moist and flavorful as well. Friendly and efficient service. More of a spot to get takeout, as there is very limited space on site to eat, but food well prepared and was still hot after a brief drive home. Will definitely return!
