Midori Sushi Of Highland Park

Got take out here. Eel cucumber roll and California roll were super yummy. They offer combos for two and three rolls at a discounted price which was really awesome. Interior looks nice for dining in, so I definitely plan on coming back again. Outside area around is walkable and has many tables and benches as well to eat outside, which is what I opted to do after picking up my food. Overall nice sushi spot in a nice area worth checking out.

I love this place and this is my go to place when I am craving sushi! Midori sushi is one of the best known restaurants in Highland Park and for good reason, their food is great! I have been to a few more Japanese restaurants and I think Midori sushi has the best quality. Their menu is reasonably priced and their food is always fresh and tasty. When they had indoor sitting before covid hit, they had a very nice sitting ambiance that was ideal for a date. Overall, great menu, quality and price.

My husband and I have been coming here for year. Always great sushi and tea. We love their teriyaki plates too!!

We tried this place for the first time. I would give it a one star. The place had so many ants under one of the back tables. The dishes were not cleaned properly. They service you with to-go trays instead of regular dishes while dining in.. It looks run down Then the quality of fish is poor. The rolls tasted old. My whole family was sick a few hours after eating the meal. We will not be returning.

Highway robbery! This is an edited review because this place has gone downhill. We ordered three hibachi dinners totaling almost $100. We received a small tub filled with carton tasting noodles, a few pieces of steak and 3 pieces of overcooked shrimp. The flavor was non existent. Terrible customer service They are completely inflexible, my son wanted to switch the noodles for fried rice and they said they absolutely couldn’t do that. A restaurant charging $30 for a few bits of protein should be able to accommodate such easy request or at least give you the option to pay a small difference. Most restaurants have some flexibility to make customers happy. It would have cost them nothing to make the switch but instead they saw it as an opportunity to up-charge.
