Always check the SAG-AFTRA website for a list of legit agencies. And always trust your gut when choosing agents or managers. Remember you should NEVER pay for representation or be forced to pay for classes through your rep. Michael Turney will claim that Louisiana is not a SAG franchised state which may/may not be true. But this man will pressure you and send nasty emails if you do not give him the answers he wants. His "business" is a scam. Please do not waste your time or money with him. He was very nice at first but was very rude when I told him I can not pay the huge amount of money he wanted. Your agent does not get paid until you do . And not to mention he will and has openly talked bad about previous talent he worked with. For example an individual he worked with has over a million

So here’s what I have been dealing with this past week. I wasn’t going to do this publicly but at this point I don’t really care. I have been disrespected as a creative, as an artist, and as an actor by this man and I refuse to keep silent about it. The fact you want to talk to someone this way at the beginning stages of their career speaks louder than anything I’ve said. Here’s what lead to these emails and texts: My contract for acting classes ended in July. I was unsure of how classes went going forward. Was it pay as you go? Don’t have to worry about them anymore? I wasn’t sure so I wrote an email asking that very question. To which I got a phone call telling me I would have to sign another $2400 contract to continue with the classes. Not a pay as you go. I never had a problem with Michael Turney. He is very straightforward and expects a lot out of the teenagers who train with him, it is not all fun and games. The training is pricey, but I found it to be worth our time and money to learn. We weren't guaranteed anything. My daughter learned etiquette, poise and confidence that I could not have taught her.
