Mi Parilla Mexican Restaurant

Opening day, and we happened to pass by and see the lights and cars in the parking lot. We stopped in and was seated quickly. Our waitress came by and took our drink order first thing along with a bowl of chips and salsa. We ordered: my daughter home for a visit ordered the Chicken happy plate, the wife a steak chimichanga while I opted for the interesting sounding burrito Texcano. The place was busy, the kitchen staff probably just learning their routines. A manager came by to ask us how things went: everyone was friendly and accommodating. The wait for the food was a bit longer than usual, but like I said, brand new restaurant on opening day. It was not an extreme wait and we visited with our daughter. Food came out and it was great: everything was tasty, warm, and prepared and presented

Okish place. Good burrito, sadly the service wasnt up to par with that though. Server very softspoken, had to ask to repeat multiple times, disappeared after food and finally brought checks. We waited at the table a while more and figured out we pay at the front. Overall service, including chips restock was just slow. Had an issue with one order, server did nothing to try to remedy it. It wasnt what was intended to order for sure (frozen/cold carrots and broccoli? Huh?) But hey, decent buritto :) and not much choices in area.

Very generous portions. I ordered the Happy Plate with Steak. I'm pretty sure the steak was the precooked fajita steak you can buy frozen in a bag due to the meat being really dry. I will definitely give them another try.

Walked in, knew it was going to be good. Ate, it was good. Affordable and will be visiting again. Best steak fajitas I’ve ever ordered from a restaurant

Expected better quality food, cold bland and no flavor. Both Mexican restaurants in this town are below average.
