Mi Molcajete

Goodness!! The food was outstanding! Service was great. My daughter and I went there for supper today. And we were blown away with everything. So many options and huge portions, the salsa bar was a superb addition. I will definitely be making this my go to restaurant!

I have to agree with the other reviewers this place is excellent. Meal started with complimentary chips and bean dip (frijole salsa) which had great flavor and the server brought me some very spicy salsa that I mixed with the dip. I originally intended to get the posole which I don't usually see at mexican restaurants in my area but the Puerto Nuevo Camarones caught my eye. I was NOT disappointed, the flavor was great and shrimp were not overcooked which you can get when. Trying to cook the bacon to be crispy. The sauce they poured over complimented the shrimp and bacon well. My only recommendation is make sure you are VERY hungry because the plates are huge! I had another full meal the next day. Excellent! We took at couple hour drive into Lenoir NC. We found the Mi Molcajete restaurant from a search for restaurants in the area . Restaurant was clean and light on Mexican deco but tasteful. Our server was very helpful, friendly and attentive. She took our drink order and brought bean dip, salsa and chips. The bean dip was served steaming hot and very good. The salsa was excellent. Very nice fresh taste. We placed our order for the Molcajete and the Pollo Molcajete. Both entrees arrived fairly quickly. Each plates was a show by themselves . Attractively presented. Stop here after looking for a Mexican restaurant on Google with good reviews. It is now our go to food is consistent and always good. Drinks are also good even if you order one that is not on the menu. They are very welcoming and fast service. This place has 100 rating on their food grade. That alone is hard to find. I recommend this place if you are passing through or live in the area, is worth the visit.

We ate here recently. I wasn’t hungry so I just got cheese quesadillas. But, other guests got the birra pizza, basic fajitas, and something else. Everyone enjoyed their food. The waitress was attentive.
