Customer Reviews
Since this is one of the most recommended Turkish restaurants, we wanted to give it a try. We ordered one Adana kebab and one kofte. Both were quite delicious — the meat was flavorful and cooked well. Regarding the rice, I was expecting a more aromatic buttered rice with orzo, so that part was a bit of a disappointment for me. However, the portions were very generous; we were quite full and couldn’t even finish the rice. The ayran was very tasty, and I especially loved the pickled red cabbage. I would also like to make a small suggestion about the Adana kebab presentation. It was served as one long piece on the plate. Since it’s not a wrap, serving it as two slightly smaller pieces instead of one might look more balanced and visually appealing. I believe presentation is important, especi
Went on a Friday evening and there was a wait time around 20 minutes. We need to do a self order and then food is delivered to the table. We got lentil soup, hummus and pita, chicken kebab plate. Quantity was little and tastes were fine. I loved the ambience. Food was ok.
We tried several dishes and everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered the Traditional Hummus, Falafel, Mezze Meatballs, Governor’s Plate, Mezze Platter, and finished with the Baklava Cheesecake every single dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. Even the baklava dessert was amazing. The restaurant was pretty full when we arrived, but after about 15 minutes we were seated, and it was totally worth the wait. The service was incredible. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady who seated us and gave us great recommendations on what to order. The manager was also very kind and even offered us a Turkish coffee, which was a lovely touch. The place has great vibes, with seating both indoors and outdoors, making it perfect for any occasion. Everything we
Iskender and Beyti were our favorites. The chicken dish was okay. The lahmacun had a strong lamb flavor, so if you’re not a fan of lamb, it might feel a bit heavy for you. The meze platter was also very good. We wouldn’t really recommend the baklava — it tasted like it might be store-bought. Overall, it was a delicious dinner in a nice atmosphere. Definitely a Turkish restaurant worth trying in Austin.
I have tried around lot of Mediterranean restaurants in Austin but the Mezzeme tops the list in terms of quality and hospitality. Visited on Valentine's day, though the restaurant was crowded the staff ensured everyone is attended. They are also thoughtful to present roses at each table. We loved the falafel rice ,Turkish coffee & tea. I also purchased the Turkish biscuits which was a great snack. I have attached the pictures of dishes and snacks available. Post dine-in,The restaurant owner collected feedback from each table. Looking forward to visit again soon. Have an awesome dining.
