Mexican House

I honestly loved everything about this place! The food/drinks, service, and decor were fantastic! Everything I had was very flavorful and the portions were huge. Some of my personal favorites were the Queso Panela Asado con Chorizo Street Taco, the Fish Tacos, and the Mexican House Special Alambre! The Fish Tacos were crispy and served with a freshly made mango salsa! The Queso Panela Asado con Chorizo Street Taco is a must try and I loved the chipotle sour cream it came with! The Mexican House Special Alambre was by far my favorite! It was super cheesy and came with steak, mexican sausage, bacon, hot dogs, jalapeño, peppers, and onions! The pink decor was super cute, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the vibe. The food lacked flavor and felt really underwhelming. When we asked about refried beans, our server seemed unsure what refried beans were, and even though we were the only table there, she was often missing—spending more time in the kitchen or at the bar chatting and eating. The AC was broken, which made things pretty uncomfortable, and while the margaritas were okay, they didn’t make up for the rest. It’s the kind of place that has potential but really needs serious improvements to survive.

Staff members were friendly and checked in with us frequently. I wouldn’t get the cheese dip again.. I’m going to assume they made a roux to start the dip? And if so, it didn’t cook long enough before adding the additional ingredients to make the dip. The fat separated from the dip and when it came out it was extremely thin. It did thicken as it cooled but the texture was grainy. It wasn’t bad taste wise, but everything else was slightly off putting. The tortilla chips they make are also thicker than usual so it packs a bigger crunch. The veggie fajitas were nice because it had a wide variety of vegetables and not just the typical tomato, onion, & green peppers that you often see. It also was seasoned well. Such a cute place and amazing food! The food is large enough to share. The Pink Senorita was phenomenal! The kids chicken was a little unexpected but very good! Thank you for a great time!

We came in here for a late lunch and really enjoyed the food and service. We will absolutely be back. My husband loved the sopes, and my burrito was phenomenal. On a whim ordered the flan for dessert, which was a perfect way to end our meal!
