Food is awesomely delicious and very authentic. Believe me, im mexican and this place takes me back to my childhood taste memories. We been here twice, first time I tried the pozole verde and is very tasty, but a little on the spicy side. Second time, I tried the Huevo con Salsa, super good too. I dont understand the bad reviews, everything was really good and service is very attentive and friendly. This will be our favorite Mexican restaurant from now on since is only a few minutes from our house. 10,000% recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food is great! I had two gorditas deshebrada (shredded beef) and chicharrón (pork rinds). You can choose between flour and corn. I got corn and they were pretty close to the homemade ones mom used to make. In other words, authentic! I also had an asada taco on corn and it was topped off with lots of protein. It did not disappoint. I think the red salsa can use some improvements but there’s also a green salsa that was good so made up for it. I had the cantaloupe agua fresca and it is not very sweet which is what I prefer. South Tyler definitely needed a Mexican restaurant. Now we have one and I hope it stays in business. I will definitely be going back. The staff was really nice.

The music is a little to loud from my seat. It comes from a TV so it makes it annoying for those close by. The food we great over all. They brought out ships and salsa with my breakfast. The salsa is a little different it had lettuce in it and I believe tarragon. I had the Rancheros. I was a little disappointed it had 2 eggs I feel it should be 3 with the price. It come with potatoes and beans but I swapped it for rice and sourcream. My meal also came with homemade corn tortillas wich were delicious (I hate store bought corn tortillas). Over all it was great and I will be back with the family! Edit.. Well I came back with my wife. I am sad to say my over all experience was not as good as the first time. The service was lacking, the lady thats the hostess and server forgot my tortillas an

I'm so happy to be able to write this review. I live very close to Mexa and am always disappointed with the food options this far south of tyler. I love the food in north tyler. They brought the north tyler food here. Absolutely fantastic Posole and Gorditas. Please do not let this place fail guys. Stop going to FDs stop going to Chili's. Go to Mexa. Their hours are generous, the food portions are massive and the prices are incredibly cheap. Some feedback: the service was lacking. But they have been open like 2 days. Also get rid of those little handheld things where you input the items and also do the payment. I know they seem convenient, but ive never met a customer who likes them. Also decorate the walls PLEASE. Lovely food, lovely people. I will be coming once a week at minimum. C

Gave them a try. Was glad to see this opening. We live minutes from them. We were greeted asap we walked in. Young lady was very nice. Our server met us within a couple of minutes. As it appeared he was only one serving. But he was excellent. Knew the menu and answered questions we had. Had great recommendations. We ordered the 3 tacos [ potato pork], and the Davids enchillads. Both plates were good. Only complaint is enchiladas had no sauce on them. ****Edit: we asked for no cheese on top. But portions were good we even took home some. We will definately be back again. They are so far doing great. Help support these guys!!!!
