Metuchen Diner

I have to say I have been to different diners in the area and I keep coming back to the Metuchen Diner. Sue is AWESOME THE TOPS I then there are the other ladies on certain days that are a pleasure as well. Just to name a few Mariola ,Ester, Drew, Sam and Lee. The food is great also I’m telling you folks if you’re in the area of RT 27 in Metuchen NJ STOP IN YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. It’s like a friendly family great experience with great food.

First time at this diner bc my family member just recently moved here n highly recommended this diner. Greeted by a young nice & friendly man and our server Adam was phenomenal giving us recommendations on our choices of entrees. I had the Boston cod and husband had the pork chops. Both were delicious and generous portions. Rice pudding was delicious too!! We will be back!!

If you’re hungry in the morning and need a great omelet, the Traveler’s Omelet is the one to go with. The mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese come together perfectly and make for a great start to the day. The corned beef hash, which my wife and I thought would be a small plate, actually came out as a pretty generous portion. The potato pancakes, something I never knew about until today thanks to my wife, were amazing especially paired with sour cream. And the sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin… OMG. Simple, classic, and done right. Great breakfast, great portions, and everything tasted fresh. Methuen Diner — pull up hungry, roll out happy.

Very Nice diner, I went here with my daughter a couple days ago. Our waiter was very nice, unfortunately I don’t remember his name but he was excellent. The food was great, very big portions, delicious and very affordable. I had the cajun chicken sandwich and my daughter had shrimp pasta.

My partner and I were just here for the first time, the other night. If you’re a person of color, or of the community, DO NOT COME HERE. The customer service wasn’t great, the food wasn’t good, either. The curly fries were overcooked, we weren’t told that there was an upcharge for the curly fries. My partner’s fried eggplant sandwich was a complete mess. They said it tasted off, but when we tried to send it back, the waitress said that the kitchen was closed. She didn’t even take the sandwich off the bill, either. The burger was supposed to have the fix ins, but it didn’t come with onions. I only got tomatoes, and lettuce. The waitress offered us free pudding, or jello. However, why should a customer have to pay for something that they didn’t like, but in return, all they get was a free de
