Merriweather Creperie Cafe

We found the menu floating around social media and we had to try! I ordered 3 things so me and my kids could all try a little of each. The presentation and the quality of ingredients was excellent and as described on the menu. I ordered everything to go, and the crepes definitely stuck to the service containers making it more difficult to eat, but still very enjoyable. If you get your order to go, make sure to get a knife with your fork so you can cut it into manageable bites! The Sweet Nutella with Banana was hands down something I will crave. It was delicious, and warm, and the bananas were perfectly ripe. The whip on the top had melted, so again getting this to go- keep that in mind. But it was still good. Very very good. The two of us had read about this new place had seen some positive reviews so drove all the way down from Oak Harbor to Bayview only to be very disappointed. The savory crepes were almost tasteless. Just a touch of salt and pepper would have helped a bit. We actually left feeling hungry! You must order at the counter so they actually request that you tip in advance! I prefer to tip after I’ve been served and have eaten. For two savory crepes, a water and a cup of coffee plus the advanced tip we paid more than $50! That was for tasteless, small portions. Outstanding! This is the second time I have had Merriweather crepe's and they are delicious! I have tried several different sweet varieties and the bacon cheddar breakfast savory. So good! The person at the counter was delightful and accessible. So kind! The location is inside of a fancy restaurant called Japonica that does dinners. It is beautiful and they have great music! It is in the Bayview Corner (well that is what we call it) where there are all sorts of other shops to visit. I can't wait to try the lunch menu! Highly recommend!

We LOVE Merriweather Creperie! I have tried most of their offerings and have thoroughly enjoyed them all...making it tough to choose! The host was friendly and funny, a great combination to create a comfortable atmosphere. Great coffee.

I was stunned by how tasty the Chicken Carbonara Crepe was. The Chai Latte was incredible as well. Thank you for an amazing environment and a superb first visit.
