Menomonie Public Library

One of the library’s rules may unintentionally conflict with the behavioral characteristics of individuals with ADHD or AUTISM. Misinterpretations or subjective reinterpretations of behavior can be an issue. Specifically, the rule stating: "Engaging in any behavior that a reasonable person would find to be disruptive, harassing, or threatening in nature to library users or staff, including stalking, prolonged staring at, or following another with the intent to annoy, or intentionally behaving in a manner that could reasonably be expected to annoy or disturb other patrons." Certain behaviors described in this rule, such as difficulty with eye contact, social interaction, or body language, may occur unintentionally in individuals with ADHD or AUTISM. The "Public Library" visited by CVTC as a group is not that big, but it is perfectly equipped with friendly steps, wonderful views, and everything useful.

The staff are so friendly and kind on top of being incredibly helpful. The building is clean and has a gorgeous view. This library is a wonderful resource for the community. I love when I get to stop in. I love that they sometimes offer coffee and classes. It's also super accessible by bus which is a big plus. It is small but no less great. I can't wait to see it expand with more resources in the future.

There are so many reasons to love the library but today I needed to print hundreds of pages. I called around and the library has the cheapest printing in town because they provide the service at cost. Stephanie helped me streamline the payment process and was able to assist the poor souls waiting in line behind my 700 pages. What an incredible resource.

The staff here is always kind and welcoming! I take my six month old here regularly and their children's section is very cute and tidy. Highly recommend!
