Ok guys its real over here. Caught them open and the people here are awesome ,nice and funny. Thought this was a fruit stand but turns out they have all kinds of food. Was hard for me to just get a fruit cup with all the amazing smells of food.. come check out my new happy place if your in the brownwood area..

We’ve ordered from Mel at her former location on Belle Plain and her new location on Austin and have yet to have a bad experience. I love the fun outdoor atmosphere she provides, my kids and I always enjoy hanging out while we wait for our fresh made food. I never know what I want to order when I go, (sweet, savory, sour, spicy- she has it all!) but I always know whatever we order will be a hit with the family. As far as anything other than constructive criticism towards growth, don’t listen to the noise Mel, just keep doing the dang thing!

I’ve never actually ate a Mel’s until today, I could never catch her open but when I seen her on my home I decided to jump on this opportunity. I got the brisket street tacos and pineapple Agua. The street tacos were sooo good, brisket was tender and amazing. And drink was mind blowing, loved it!

FINALLY got to try Mels Treats tonight! We picked up our taco box raffle prize and grabbed an order of asada fries and two elotes. Everything was super tasty. The hot sauce was spicy and so flavorful. We couldnt stop eating it. My ultimate favorite has to be the elotes. I could BATHE in that corn- It was delicious. Currently in a food coma, but contemplating an extra workout routine to compensate for all the corn cups I’m going to be consuming. No regrets. Please go check them out when you get the chance.
