Mel's Hometown Restaurant

When we went in to eat a few days ago everything was great. Food was good, service was good. But today when we stopped in to grab a Blt to go we were told they don’t do that. How ignorant is that?? Turn away good money for no reason? It’s the same as if we came in and couldn’t finish our food and ask for a container. 🤨🤦‍♀️ I guess they don’t like to earn money. We won’t be back.

The food was ok. Kind of bland. I feel like the eggs were not seasoned at all while on the flat top. We had the cornedbeef hash meal extra crispy and 2 over easy eggs, and the sausage and buiscuit meal with tots and 2 eggs over medium. The buiscuit gravy wasn't really seasoned and probably came out of a can. The corned beef was crispy like I ordered. The atmosphere was nice, service was great, but if I'm going for breakfast, I would have driven to Edinboro and gone to Flip Cafe for similar prices.... or downtown erie to Dominic's which is much cheaper and better food.

Mom and I stopped for lunch. Quick easy parking, seating. Friendly staff with quick service! Definitely going back for sure!!

I have zero complaints about this restaurant. The breakfast omelets are very good, and plenty of food. Reasonably priced.

Good place to eat. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The staff was friendly too
