Mels Germarican Imbiss

I can't say enough about Mel's Germarican Imbiss! I don't have much German in me, but Google Translate says Imbiss means a "hasty meal." More like TASTY meal -- because let me tell you, the Jaeger Schnitzel plate was an absolute flavor bomb. I paired it with Red Cabbage and German Potato Salad, and I would order it again in a flash. It was savory and crispy, the cream sauce wasn't too salty, and the meat was perfectly tender. And the portion size was more than enough to fill me up! For the unfamiliar, it was a lot like mama's Chicken Fried Steak but German style. The real treasure for those who dine in is the hostess, Mel. She treated us to direct service and made sure we had a great time. She even made a special dessert for our daughter's birthday! Thank you, Mel! You made our day. Mel'

I found this place searching for food near me on Google Maps. I got the schnitzel sandwich with Swiss cheese and German potato salad. Both items were excellent. The pork was fried perfectly and not dried out like some places. The seasoning was great on it also. I normally am not a fan of German potato salad, but this one was really good. I'd recommend both items and plan on going back to try more things.

I've had nothing but hot fresh delicious oversized meals from Mel's! Everything she prepares is awesome. Best burger in the area! Brats and sauerkraut!!! Pork schnitzel sammich!! I always have to save half for later!! Truly the best food in our area!! Take a few minutes to visit with Melanie you will find she's really cool!!

I had dinner there last night and it was one of the best meals I ever ate. The schnitzel was so crispy. The mushroom gravy was so delicious. I had the fries and potato salad. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The fries were perfect for dipping in the gravy. The potato salad was well seasoned. There are so many options on the menu to make everyone happy.
