Mel's Fish & Chips

I absolutely love this place and have been coming here for a long time — it’s one of those little gems you just keep coming back to. I recently stopped by again because they have a special on certain days where you can get $3 fish tacos (yes, THREE dollars!) and they’re so worth it. Pro tip: follow them on Facebook and Instagram so you can catch when the specials are happening — it’s totally worth planning a visit around it. The food here is always made fresh to order, which I love because it means everything tastes hot, fresh, and just right. This time I tried the artichoke and the crab cakes, and I cannot stop thinking about those crab cakes. Hadn't eaten here since the change of ownership that's to bad used to be a 5 stars now it's a 3 star it was just ok this time it. They only gave 1 small container of tartar sauce for 2 big peices of fish and no lemon that was disappointing i got it to go and didn't realize til I got home

I was raving to my family about this place for the longest time just to be disappointed and hear bad reviews from them to me. The food looked good, but there was NO seasoning whatsoever. The only thing with flavor was the garlic fries, because of the garlic. I didn’t even bother asking for salt packets because I thought it was already seasoned. No room for seating. Not worth the $100.

Mels Fish & Chip The Best Fresh fish and chips or substitute with sweet potatoes 😋 Golden brown not over fried or old 🐟. Table seating out front or to go! Prices are reasonable😛 Waitresses are friendly and time efficient. Now go chow down 😊. Oh! Did I mention the quick on and off for North or South 101 Hwy ✌🏽 Update Mel’s Fish and Chips still the best in county “Yes” in our county. Mel’s is fresh and cooked golden brown nice size fries the prices are good and all served with a Smile.

Grabbed an order to go. Did not realize how huge the portions are! Had to sneak a bite on the way home. Got the fish meal and a chicken meal. Very tasty!
