Melanie's Bar & Grill

It was my first time eating there and I had the worst experience. I can't say the food wasn't good because we didn't get to the food. We ordered the appetizer nachos and found a roach in them. I almost threw up, completely lost my appetite, and just went home instead. Will not be returning.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. The food was tasty but we had a few issues. First they were super slow. My ribeye was ordered medium rare, but came out medium..the Mac n cheese is the equivalent of kraft Mac n cheese from the box. Husband had Melanie's enchilada plate. It was on par with every other Mexican restaurant. The only thing that really stood out was the slow service. Everything took forever. Then we had to ask for our check so we could pay. Because we were a party of 7, with three separate tickets, they added 18% gratuity to the bill, which was fine. They need to improve their service.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The cowboy theme is great . Flautas were super good and look like a 20 dollar meal but it was only 9 dollars. We got in and we were seated immediately. It took less than 5 minutes to get our food. Super good food for not an expensive price. Sara Beth was a great waitress .

Although the food was very tasty, did not get what was supposed to be to come with the meal. For example, my wife ordered the poblano chicken plate, and that’s all she got, no sides like was in menu, nothing!!! I had order of shrimp to go with my sirloin steak, supposed to be 7, guess what , only 4. Did not complain cause obviously they don’t know what is going on here and our party of 10 will not be back.

I've been driving past this place in one form or another for over 11 years. Always said I wanted to stop, so I apparently did it when there was a karaoke birthday party in the bar. Service was great, food was excellent (try the pechuga poblano), and the atmosphere...well it was a karaoke birthday party in the bar! I wish I were friends with the people. They seem very fun. If you're thinking of stopping by, DO IT!
