Melancholy Roasting Springfield

Favorite coffee in town, hands down. I love a good coffee shop, but ironically find most places coffee to be neglected or poor in quality. I spoke with the owner and was impressed, as he was knowledgeable of the coffees origins, tastes, and even went into detail as to how they roasted it. I've since visited a few times, and am on my second 5-pound bag of their beans for personal use, which relative to some other places I've been locally is an incredibly good value while still a better coffee in my opinion. I highly recommend and rarely make reviews!

Edit: I'm so disappointed that they're now only open two days a week. I understand having to make hard business decisions and I hope sometime soon they'll be open more Really cool coffee shop with a funky laid back aesthetic! There are several different seating options and even a hammock out front to chill in. The owner was welcoming and warm. I went in specifically for coffee beans to use as decoration so he directed me to a 1lb bag that was on sale, which I appreciated. I ordered an iced mocha, which turns out to easily be the best one I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. Melancholy Roasting roasts all the beans themself and that really comes through in the flavor and smell of the coffee. They offer punch cards and a coffee subscription service! Definitely recommend checking this place

Great staff, awesome coffee. Air roasted coffee is so much better than regular and this place is amazing. The staff remembers me when I come in and they’re always chatty and nice. Atmosphere is amazing too.

This coffee shop is amazing! Friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. Definitely prefer it to Starbucks or any other chain coffee shops.
