Mekong Bistro

Freaking love this place. This is the place you want to be if you want great food in a classic place with excellent service, excellent music (and live music), and unbelievably fair and reasonable prices. Remember the concept of value, people? It's alive and well here, but without compromising on quality. The food and drinks are SPECTACULAR. Love how nice and chill the bartenders are - no BS. Honestly, stalwarts like Mekong Bistro are becoming more and more popular because people are tired of being fleeced by their new strip mall restaurants where servers are cranky, the food is mediocre, and prices are absurdly high. Want to experience what still makes Portland fun and chill?...and still leave with being able to afford your rent?! Go to Mekong Bistro. You'll be happy you did.

Excellent food, the owners are very friendly and actually talk to their customers!! They offer live music, karaoke, and the owner has a band that plays their 1-2 times a month….They care about their regulars, even hold fundraisers to help them out….. can’t say anything bad about Mekong Bistro 🥰🥰

We were there for an event. Mekong provided an excellent family style catered dinner for each table of guests. A stellar planned menu. Loved to taste so many dishes in a single meal! All were delicious and well executed. Wait staff were very professional. A wonderful dining experience! Highly recommend.

I love this place! The owner was so kind and the weekend bar tender “Jenny from the Hood” was one of the kindest people I’ve met in a very long time. The karaoke 🎤 station is set up self serve, the locals were so welcoming, and the joint has family vibes. We left our cell phone there by accident and realized after closing ~ but the owner stayed there another 15 minutes for us to drive back to get the phone! Just do very kind. I’d def return ;)

Super yummy food especially the crazy chicken! They are open til late night and thank heavens they are. The place is huge and good for events. One picture here is the juice stand of a kid that they support. The project is about building a library in Cambodia. Such a wonderful cause.
