Delicious salsa and warm tortilla chips, excellent cheese sauce. The enchiladas were wonderful as were the rice and (vegetarian) refried beans (served in a fried tortilla bowl). They have a vegetarian menu and the cocktail selection is great, especially for tequila and mezcal aficionados. Birria pizza is marvelous and the Mangonada margarita is my favorite (with Tajin and chamoy rim). The tropical margarita is my husband's favorite. I'm sure you'll find something you like at Mecate!

My wife and I grabbed a late dinner here on a weeknight, so there were only a few tables with patrons, service was quick, waitress brought food samples for dishes I hadn't heard of and after some recommendations, I settled for Enchiladas supreme and my wife got the Taco salad. The food was excellent. Chips were 10/10, salsa was good, a little more garlic/spicy than I'm used to, but solid. Entrees were delicious and ample portions... I'm no connoisseur of Mexican, but tasted authentic. A perfectly poured Dos Equis Amber complimented the meal perfectly. Will be back.

The decor was nice, large booths, the music was just right and appropriate for a Mexican restaurant. We were disappointed in the food, however. The fish tacos contained very little fish, it appeared to be broken up into tiny pieces. Very disappointing. The guacamole was decent with lots of pieces of avocado and jalapeños. The fajita lacked flavor.

This was my first time visiting a Mexican restaurant — and it will definitely be a memorable one! The food was incredibly delicious, each dish a true explosion of flavors. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. I’m absolutely thrilled and sincerely recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new and tasty!

Super friendly staff. Great good, great drinks. Best Mexican food in Webster. The birria tacos are amazing.
