McCools Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt

I had an unfortunate experience with a rather short employee with a very noticeable mustache working around 5:15 PM last Wednesday. Initially, everything was going well, and I was excited to try a new ice cream flavor. However, the employee asked if I could leave a tip. I politely explained that I’m an exchange student from Belgrade, Serbia, who frequently visits the New York City metropolis and is currently on a tight budget, so I wasn’t able to tip. After that, the interaction became uncomfortable. When I tried to lighten the mood with a joke, he seemed upset and removed some ice cream from my cup. I attempted to clarify that I meant no disrespect, but he dismissed me and made an unprofessional comment. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and do not plan to return.❌ -Henry

The owner is so kind and they have great flavors! I can’t wait to try the specialties one day. Also, my toddler loves the little mini ice cream sandwiches. Perfect size for her. Such a neighborhood gem!

OMG they have Black Cherry Ice Cream, a flavored I can only ever get in Buffalo NY. Awesome place definitely put a smile on my face!

Service is always prompt, everyone is friendly, and the ice cream is absolutely amazing. My husband and I love coming here after our dinners in Summit.

Schedule says store closes at 9 30 pm, I arrived at 9 08 pm the Doors were closed and 2 gentleman inside said it's a new schedule now. Please update the schedule online to avoid kids crying outside.
