Mayo's Seafood Restaurant

Nice place with good food. Tried the beer battered onion rings, Atlantic cod and crab dip. Crab dip was pretty good, service was decent and prices are pretty good. My problem is mainly with how hard it was to find it. We kept getting directed elsewhere. Love the food though.

The wife and I went to this area for the first time today. A local provided his suggestion of a good local seafood restaurant relating he eats lunch here everyday. This spoke volumes to me and we gave it a try. The meals we had did not disappoint and without reservations recommend you give it a try. The oysters and scallops were perfect and the pickled beets were out of this world complimenting the seafood.

The fish was excellent and true fish, lol. I would visit again, surprise there was no wait considering it was lunch time. The hush puppies were good and munchable.

Had lunch with several friends and we all had something different. My shrimp wrap was pretty good, but didn't seem to have anything but shrimp and lettuce. Other meals were a trout sandwich, broiled shrimp, crab cakes, and a steak. Everybody enjoyed what they had. They have a large selection of sides to chose from, and they all looked good. My cucumber salad was fresh with a lot of extra ingredients thrown in. The service was prompt, efficient and polite, though we asked for more hush puppies twice an never got them. That's the main reason I'm holding back the 5th star. Otherwise, I will have no problem stopping here again when I'm in the area.

We had dinner at Mayo seafood restaurant last night and it was delicious! Calamari appetizer, clam chowder, Cod, salads and shrimp and grits! Everything was fantastic, great service and cheese cake to go. Can’t wait to go back.
